What the client needed

Oasis Landscaping was contracted by Narangba Valley SHS to create a bonafide Japanese garden, providing an area for students to immerse themselves in other cultures.

Challenges the project presented

A number of challenges arose throughout this project, as a number of materials such as Japanese native plants and granite were not readily available. The timeframe we committed to was extremely short due to the fact that the school was holding a grand opening with a large group of people invited.  Our progress was hindered when it became apparent that the site was waterlogged as a result of tank overflow.

What we did

Our team was committed to completing the project for opening night so we carried out a lot of remedial drainage to ensure that site soil was maintained to standards. To guarantee the granite was authentic, we imported it from Japan.
